Jin Huang Powell
Jin’s figurative sculptures reveal the beauty and physical prowess of the human form.
Jin Powell has been called a national treasure. As an internationally recognized sculptor, artist, and educator, her work is curated in museums and private collections around the world.
In 1984, Jin had the honor of being selected as lead sculptor for the National Monument to Chen Yi, The Vice Premier of China. The 12 ft tall bronze statue is located in Hainan, China.
Jin gives form to the intangible, exploring the universal archetypes of human psyche - triumph, struggle, and transformation. The permanence of bronze allows her work to transcend the limitations of fleeting styles.
